Steel Day is an annual event celebrating the steel industry and its global impact. This year, it falls on September 17th!
The Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC) and the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) are the pillars of our industry, representing and setting the highest standards for the steel industry in their respective countries.
The American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) is a non-profit organization founded in 1921. It is based in Chicago, Illinois, and represents the structural steel industry in the United States. The AISC is responsible for developing and maintaining the standards for steel design, fabrication, and erection in the US. It also provides education and training to engineers, architects, and other industry professionals.
On the other hand, the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC) is a non-profit organization founded in 1930. It is based in Markham, Ontario, and represents Canada’s steel construction industry. The CISC is responsible for developing and maintaining the standards for steel design, fabrication, and erection in Canada. It also provides education and training to industry professionals.
