- We are known for the training services and testing we provide at our two Welding Test Centers in Winnipeg and Brandon, Manitoba.
Our Weld Test Centers offer welders the opportunity to obtain the certification and qualifications they yearned for in our industry. One of our qualifications is through the CWB or Canadian Welding Bureau.
As the CWB’s authorized test center, we test new and current welders on their performance for CWB qualifications.
The Canadian Welding Bureau certifies companies, inspection organizations, inspectors, and welding consumables through a review and qualification process to ensure that they meet the requirements for various product and safety codes and standards, such as CSA W47.1, CSA W47.2, CSA W55.3, CSA W186, CSA W178.1, CSA W178.2, and CSA W48.
To become a certified welding or welding inspection company, these organizations must have their welders qualified to follow the approved welding procedures and meet or exceed the requirements.
Whether it’s visual, destructive, or non-destructive testing, anyone wanting to work for these certified companies and achieve employment security must successfully complete both written and practical exams.
At AXIS, we understand that most welders don’t enjoy having to test. There’s a reason we work with fire rather than with textbooks. That’s why our Weld Test Centers are specifically designed to work with people who learn all different ways to ensure they can not just meet but exceed the testing requirements.
Of course, you’re welcome to come to us just for the testing, but we also offer numerous training and practice opportunities at both of our Weld Test Centers.
AXIS is pleased to offer welder qualification testing for CWB Qualification and the Structural Component for Red Seal (CSA W47.1, W47.2, and AWS).
As the Authorized National Body (ANB) for the International Institute of Welding (IIW), the CWB provides several internationally recognized certifications and qualifications for welding professionals and certification for welding companies.
