cwb performance qualifications
Our Weld Test Centers offer welders the opportunity to obtain the certification and qualifications they yearned for in our industry. One of our qualifications is through the CWB or Canadian Welding Bureau.
ISO 1760-2, ISO 14731, and ISO 3832-2: Understanding the Importance of Quality Requirements in Welding
Welding regulations and standards, such as ISO 1760-2, ISO 14731, and ISO 3832-2, are in place. These standards, when implemented, ensure the welding process is done correctly and the final product is of high quality, making them indispensable in welding fabrication and inspection.
CWB Procedure Testing
Looking out for Canadians across the country, the CWB is responsible for certifying welding companies and qualifying the people who work for them to ensure buildings don’t collapse, pipelines don’t explode, and bridges don’t fall.

Welding Procedure Data sheets
Welding Procedure Testing (WPT) is a systematic process designed to evaluate and qualify welding procedures before they are employed in actual fabrication. This meticulous testing is imperative to guarantee that welded joints meet specified quality and safety standards.
qualification vs certification
Welding qualification and welding certification are two separate processes. The difference between welding qualification and certification is a common source of confusion in the welding industry. While these terms are often used interchangeably, they refer to distinct processes. Welding qualification Welding qualification refers to the process of testing and evaluating a welder’s skills and abilities. […]
welding processes
SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, MCAW and FCAW are different welding processes with different applications. Determining which welding process is used for production is determined by the welding engineer, but choosing which process to test as a welder is based on the type of work that the welder is looking to do. SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) SMAW, […]
